The phone number format for mobile numbers in the UAE is +971-5X-XXX-XXXX, where “X” is any number from 0-9. The first two digits represent the mobile phone code in the UAE.

Phone numbers in the UAE are assigned to different operators, and hence the codes at the beginning of the numbers can tell us which operator that number belongs to.

Du and Etisalat are some of the leading mobile phone operators in the UAE and are the only two major ones being used the most by expats.

The numbers which belong to the du company begin with “055”, while the numbers belonging to Etisalat begin with “050”.

The number +971 is much wanted among the general public due to it being a symbol of wealth. This number is the code you have to dial before dialing any number in the UAE.

However, if you are calling the landline number from anywhere in the UAE, then all you have to do is dial the area code along with the remaining seven digits, and you will be connected to the other side!
